Joan is the firm’s accountant extraordinaire. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Messiah College. She has done public accounting, operated her own tax preparation business and provided accounting services to a variety of businesses.
You can find Joan volunteering her time and talents in a variety of areas at church – from Kid’s Club to the Welcome Center. She enjoys participating in “Dinner with Friends,” a book club with close-knit friends that meets every other month to try new recipes and discover new authors.
Joan and her husband, Deryl, have three children, two twin granddaughters, and one grandbaby on the way. When not balancing spreadsheets for North Group, she enjoys keeping up with both her husband and her son in their golfing travels.
People I most admire:

- Vacations with my husband and children
Best Chance of Winning an Olympic Medal:
If being a #1 Mom Fan was an Olympic sport, I would have a good chance of winning a medal. After over 25 years of attending and driving endless miles for my children’s athletic events of field hockey, soccer, basketball, track and field, and, now that my son is a professional golfer, walking countless beautiful golf courses, I have learned how to stay calm and smile through the best of times and the worst of times!
What I Enjoy Doing the Old-Fashioned Way:
I like to pay my bills by writing checks. It makes me think about where my money is actually going.
10 Years From Now:
I am really looking forward to spending time with my grandchildren, playing tennis again and MAYBE playing golf!
