Thank you both for this timely reminder to choose hope in times of uncertainty. Roger, it was an honor to serve together on the Sight & Sound Leadership Team through the 2008 economic crisis, and we did choose to have a hopeful outlook in spite of facing some tough economic realities. As Christ followers, our future is always hopeful no matter our present circumstances. Let’s continue to model that to our teams and organizations, especially in these critical moments.
Hello Roger!
Thank you for the timely reminder of Hope. I am confident that God is able to redeem the current health crisis and social separation. Without the normal distractions, maybe people will take time to appreciate a slower pace of life and reconnect (even remotely) in deeper ways with family and friends, or even appreciate a sunrise or other nearby elements of nature in a fresh way.
I am grieving my loss of face-to-face student interactions and for my seniors who feel a lack of closure to fours years of work. In addition, I’m scrambling to adapt my courses to an entirely on-line format, but on the positive side, I’ve returned to a long-neglected book project.
