Derek believes healthy businesses and nonprofits are essential to creating a better world for individuals and communities alike.

As the former Director of Calling & Career Development at Lancaster Bible College, Derek is passionate about helping individuals connect to a sense of calling in their career. In that role, he served the student population, accompanying them on their journey to grow their self-awareness and develop the skills needed to make a positive impact on their communities. Derek has also provided executive leadership in a growth-oriented non-profit organization.

Derek graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He continued his education at Geneva College, earning a Master of Arts in Higher Education. Most recently, he earned a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological seminary.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Derek serves on the Board of Three Springs Ministries and cherishes family time with his wife, Heidi, and their three boys in Mount Joy. Together, they enjoy outings to Hershey Park and Philadelphia Union soccer games. You can also find Derek playing basketball, pickleball, or delving into a good book.
