Jay Wenger

Jay is passionate about people and believes strong leadership is rooted in helping others become the best version of themselves. Drawing on 25 years of leadership experience in the U.S. Army, including command and organizational leadership assignments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Europe, he brings a unique perspective on developing leaders, building healthy teams, and navigating complex challenges.

Jay earned a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Millersville University, an MBA from Webster University, and a PhD in Accounting from the University of Scranton.  Jay held the role of Chair and Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of Scranton where he was instrumental in developing values-aligned, mission-ready leaders and strengthening partnerships across 11 organizations.

In addition to serving on Congressional Service Academy Advisory Boards, Jay has volunteered as a youth soccer and baseball coach and has taught at the State Correctional Institution in Dallas, Pennsylvania.  He is an active member of the Harrisburg Diocese.

Outside of work, Jay enjoys running, hiking, biking, skiing, golf, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Erika, their children, Alison and Ethan, and their dogs. Whether hiking through the mountains or skiing the Austrian Alps, he values shared experiences and meaningful connections with the people he loves.

Favorite Moment: The first moment when you see someone you have missed for a very long time.
Greatest Accomplishment: Our children, Alison and Ethan.
Most Influential Person: Saint Francis of Assisi. “Preach the Gospel at all times, use words when necessary.”
