Kent Hartzler

Energized by the opportunity to relate to others, Kent has integrated his passion for people, business, and leadership into his 26-year professional career in the financial services and book publishing/marketing industries. Most recently, Kent served as President and CEO of Everence Federal Credit Union in Lancaster, PA, and as a Senior Leadership Team member of Everence Financial in Goshen, Indiana. During his 23-year tenure at Everence, Kent enjoyed the richness of trusted, long-term relationships, working with individuals and teams to address challenges, and seeing people grow in their giftings and interests.

Kent holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Bible from Eastern Mennonite University and an MBA from The Pennsylvania State University. He is also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin’s Credit Union Management School. In 2022, Kent became a shareholder of North Group.

As an active member of the community, Kent has served on various boards and committees of Eastern Mennonite Missions, ASSETS, rkGoBig, Camp Hebron, Mountville Mennonite Church, Everence Community Investments, and the Soul Care Institute.

Kent and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Manheim, PA, and have three daughters – Lauren, Ashley and Madison.

Life Lesson:
Godliness with contentment is great gain.

Kindness, generosity and hope!

Hidden Talent:
Making friends with a stranger and learning people’s life story in under an hour

People would be surprised to know:
I have a commercial driver’s license, survived a rare childhood blood disease, and enjoy watching mixed martial arts (too old to try it, though!)
